The QR-bill was introduced in Switzerland in June 2020 with the aim of simplifying payment processing and gradually replace the red and orange payment slips. All the information required for the processing is in fact included in the document's QR code and can be read digitally.
The red and orange payment slips will be permanently discontinued on 30 September 2022.

Users of Cornèr Bank Ltd.’s digital services are able to pay QR-bills as follows:
Please immediately delete any stored payment templates and standing orders in your e-banking and record them again using the payment details from the QR-bill. After 30 September 2022, it will no longer be possible to process them. This way, you will avoid reminder fees and your bills will be paid on time.
If you use special software for issuing your bills and for your payment processes, please contact the appropriate provider as soon as possible. This will enable you to make all the necessary changes connected with the introduction of the QR-bill.
Issuing QR-bills
As from 30 June 2020, you can use the QR-bill for your services. However, your payment slip software has to be adjusted so that the QR-bill can be printed and the incoming payments adapted to the new camt.054 format.
Please note that from 30 September 2022, it will no longer be possible to process payment slips issued in the old format (red and orange slips).
Paying QR-bills
Make sure that your billing software meets the ISO 20022 standard as well as the requirements for the processing of QR-bills before 30 June 2020.
Check your basic information
The QR-bill only uses the IBAN and QR-IBAN numbers as account numbers. We recommend that you update your basic information in the accounting system or on corneronline.ch when you receive the bills.
